0% spooky 100% sweet, these kitty cat cupcakes are quite a treat!
What you'll need:
1. Store bought strawberry cake mix
2.Pink Icing
3.Circle, Heart and Triangle stencils that are close in size to the kitten ears
and mouth
4.Store bought Pink and yellow Fondant
5.Cupcake Liners
6.Cupcake Baking Tray
7.Piping Bag
8.Large Star Tip
9.Assorted Sprinkles
10.Pocky Sticks for whiskers ( found in the Asian Food Assortment in Grocery
store)
LET’S GET STARTED!
First off you will have to follow the directions on the back of the box of the
cake mix and make cupcakes as your base. Then you are going to use your cookie cutters to cut out both large and small triangles from the yellow and pink fondant. These will be used to make the
kitten ears. Simply stack the small pink triangles on top of the yellow larger
ones like in the picture below. You will be doing the same with the circle
stencils and heart to create the kittens face.
Once cupcakes are fully cool, spread on a small amount of icing onto the top of each one and dip it
into the sprinkle mix. Next, you are ready to put the pink frosting into your piping bag with the star tip in place. Pipe a swirl on top or each cupcake like shown below.
Now it’s time to decorate! Place the ears you created and the heart shaped
nose to the icing. TO create whiskers, cut your Poky sticks into 2inch pieces with a sharp knife. Lastly, attatch whiskers to each side of the cat. TaDa!!
